I never understood the people that have a veryyyy boaring living place and every day you hear them:
“I don’t have enough money to personalize my room“
or
“I have no ideas…I’m not an interior designer“
or
“I have no time. It’s ok like this also“.
Does it sound familiar to you?
Then here are some ideas that I use very often:
1. Move the furniture
The couch, table, chairs, book shelf, computer…something.
2. Paint.
This idea came up in my life last year, when a friend recommended me to paint souvenirs from Hawaii for my friends in Romania. Great idea! With a min investment (different paint colors for 11$), I painted 2 walls in my house (palmtrees, rainbow, heart and a cloud
, cups, Viennese masks, jewelry) and I still use them.
And let me tell you a secret: I have no idea how to paint, I have no classes or instinct. I just like the colors and I play with them.
Here is what I did last night with my boyfriend:

3. Buy something small and interesting and add it in the rooms:)
- Lady Bugs on the curtains

- Flowers glued on the walls

- Birds on the flowers
4. Candles and aromatherapy
In the weekend I found an amazing new scent, is called Wood. IN my home, I feel as if I am in a forest, with the wind wispering stories to my ear (for this I leave the window a little bit open – cause there are 2degrees outside). It;s an amazing way to relax.
5. Print and glue pictures with what you love to see.
I have a world map put in my room and I always tend to glue pictures with beaches, palm trees and postcards from all over the world. It’s a great motivator and a special tool for visualizing your goal or wishes. And a great technique to cover spots or cracks on the wall.
…this are my little secrets of how to make my house more comfy
If you have other ideas….com’on and share them
